airWeekly Meetings
Tuesday (all year around): volunteers meet at the museum to work on whatever needs to be done. Volunteers are needed for everything imaginable. Every skill at any level can be utilized. All are encouraged to come out and be a part of the “Tuesday Crew”.  Most volunteers are at the museum between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Monthly Meetings
Board meetings are the second Tuesday of each month @ 8 a.m.  All members are welcome to attend.

Accession Committee meetings are on an as needed basis depending on donation requests. All are welcome.

Women’s Auxiliary meetings are the fourth Wednesday of the month @ 12:30 p.m.  All women are welcome to attend, new comers encouraged.

Educational Committee meetings are the fourth Wednesday of the month @ 10:a.m.  Men & women interested in helping put together educational programs or teaching them are encouraged to attend. 

Annual Events
The Central Washington Agricultural Museum is the home of events for several groups throughout the year. The biggest event held annually is the
Central Washington Antique Farm Expo hosted by The Central Washington Antique Farm Equipment club the third weekend of August. This is a two day event, open to the public, which has many different on going activities including a tractor pull, parade, wheat binding & threshing and saw mill demonstrations. There are many other things happening at that time; homemade ice cream, bread, kiddy train for children, live entertainment from the band Sun Country, and the Dancing Grannies. There is an on going Flea Market at the same time in Fulbright Park with over 100 vendors.

  • 1st Opening day of the Museum Buildings for 2011!!!

*May*

  • 1st (normally the first Sunday in May) 10:00am to 4:00pm Old Steel Car Club Car Show at the Central Washington Ag Museum.
  • Also that day, the 8th annual Tractor run to Toppenish, Washington.
    Tractors will travel to Legends Casino, to a hosted lunch and then return. Tractors need to travel 8 to 10 miles an hour, have at least one American flag, and a slow moving vehicle triangle. Participants need to be ready to leave from the museum at 8 a.m. For more information call (509) 833-9635.
  • 14th 8:00am to 5:00pm American Historical Truck Society Show at Fullbright Park, Union Gap, WA.  Old, old vintage trucks to new trucks are welcome to exhibit.

  • 18th 8:00am to 3:00pm FFA Lawn Tractor Pull Competition at the Central Washington Ag Museum. The competition is to see whose lawn tractor can pull the most weight, the furthest. For more information call 509-833-4311.  There have been as many as 75 competitors.

*June*

  • 11th 7:00am to 5:00pm Tractor run to Zillah Washington.
    Tractors will travel to Zillah, have lunch and return. Tractors need to travel 8 to 10 miles an hour, have at least one American flag, and a slow moving vehicle triangle. Participants need to be ready to leave from the museum at 8 a.m. For more information call (509) 833-9635.

 

Expo
Central WA Antique Farm Equipment Expo

*August*

  • 20 & 21 - Central WA Antique Farm Equipment Expo
    $5.00 admission fee. A large display of antique farm equipment and demonstrations of actual usage: wheat threshing, blacksmithing, sawmill, homemade bread, homemade ice cream and watermelon booth. A parade of antique tractors, farm equipment, and trucks. Also, there is a large flea market of 100 vendors in Fullbright Park. For exhibitor information call: (509) 865-2516. *September*

  • 10th 7:00am to 5:00pm Tractor run to Harrah Washington.
    Tractors will travel from Fullbright Park to Harrah, Washington; participate in the Harrah Festival and return. Tractors need to travel 8 to 10 miles an hour, have at least one American flag, and a slow moving vehicle triangle. Participants need to be ready to leave from the museum at 8 a.m. For more information call (509) 833-9635.
  • 17th and 18th Kittitas Valley Early Iron Club Threshing Bee & Antique Farm Show &Tractor Run through the Yakima River Canyon to Olmstead Place State Park near Ellensburg, Washington. Tractors need to travel 8 to 10 miles an hour, have at least one American flag, and a slow moving vehicle triangle. Participants need to be ready to leave from the museum at 8 a.m. For more information call (509) 833-9635.
