The Central Washington Agricultural Museum has many events throughout the year. Our biggest events are the Plowing Bee(Mid October), Old Steel Car Show(End of April), Old Town Days(Fathers' Day Weekend), Civil War Reenactment(Fathers' Day Weekend) and the Pioneer Power Show and Swap Meet(End of August).
Union Gap Tourism and the Central Washington Agriculture Museum are sponsoring the first Ag Museum & Event Summit. This event is designed to provide a day long experience for Ag museums, power shows, farm event coordinators, rural event planners, and farm equipment clubs to increase membership, attendance at events and more. This conference will cover a wide range of topics that impact your organization and events on a regular basis.
The first day is a meet and greet with a no-host happy hour and introductory dinner. The second day you will spend with your peers and industry experts covering a wide range of topics that are impacting your organization and event on a regular basis.Some topic examples are:

The Central WA Ag Museum is hosting an Old Fashioned Country Style Charity Auction to help support expansion projects throughout the museum. Donations and consignments are needed for this auction and will be accepted until May 3.

Members of the National Auctioneers Association are volunteering their time in honor of National Auctioneers Day. Proceeds benefit Central Washington Agricultural Museum programs and expansion projects.

An "Appraisal Road Show" will be held on the museum grounds. It will be patterned after the popular Public Broadcasting Service’s television program, Antiques Road Show. Details are still being worked out, but the public will be encouraged to bring collectibles and heirlooms to be evaluated by a certified professional appraiser. The public will also be able to attend as members of the audience. Save the Date and plan to attend this unique to Yakima event.

Volunteers & Members meet at the museum to work on whatever needs to be done. Volunteers are needed for everything imaginable. Every skill at any level can be utilized. Everyone is encouraged to attend & be a part of the "Tuesday Crew". The volunteers & members meet 8 am-3 pm. Coffee break is at 10 am – join the "Tuesday Crew" for coffee & bring a "Brown Bag" lunch & join them for lunch.
All Central Washington Agricultural Museum members are welcome to attend
Usually once each month 8:30am-noon. Check the Horse-n-Harness Group website calendar for exact dates.
Meetings are held on an as needed basis depending on donation requests.
Fourth Wednesday of the month @ noon – 2 pm. Shared "Potluck" starts at 12:30pm. All women are welcome to attend. “Newcomers” are encouraged to attend.
