Please join us for the Grand Opening of the Central Washington Agricultural Museum April 1st from Noon ? 4pm. FREE ADMISSION! DONATIONS are always gratefully accepted.
All museum exhibits will be open. Plan to visit the art gallery in the silo. See horse related artifacts and photographs in the horse & buggy building. The model train in the railcar will be operating. View the Young?s cabin, Amos cabin, visitor center and Magness tool room, and Keys homestead, Farm Wife Life display, Milk House, and Lindeman building.
Watch demonstrations in the Olde Yakima Letterpress building, the blacksmith shop, and apple packing line, and view activities in Building #1, and Building #17. Be sure to attend the dedication of our new Veterans Memorial statue. The little ones will be able to ride the newly rebuilt kiddie train.
This is a walking tour - wear comfortable shoes, we have 15+ acres and all exhibits will be open! PLEASE NOTE: The Drive-Thru route will be CLOSED for this event, for the safety of families.
Audio Tour cards will be available to each family attending. Use your mobile device to access information on 33 stations throughout the museum.
The popular Horse~n~Harness Group of the Agricultural Museum will be on site giving horse drawn wagon rides starting at 1PM.
Come and help us celebrate. Trams will run from the parking area at Fullbright Park up to the entrance of the museum.
Prior to the start of the Grand Opening activities, the Horse~n~Harness group will hold a clinic from 9:30am ? 12 noon to provide training for both horses and people to pull/drive in harness. There will also be other horse-related topics discussed and/or demonstrated.
The clinic is free to museum members. Non-member spectators or participants will pay a $25 donation to the museum to attend. If you plan to attend, RSVP to 509-985-9135 by March 28, 2023.
