TOURS

Book Your Museum Tour

Public tours can be arranged throughout the year. The museum's suggested donation is $5.00 per person. The museum offers tours for nursing homes, adult groups, small and large groups, handicap persons, developmentally disabled visitors, home-school students, daycare, YMCA students, walk-thru tours, driving tours and many other ones. A tour can be adapted to your group needs. We prefer a minimum of ten participants for these tours, but if you have less in your group, call and inquire about availability.

Fill out this form and send it to info@centralwaagmuseum.org or give us a call at 509.457.8735.

Walking Tour

The Ag Museum offers walking tours of all the buildings and the displays. When you come to the museum for this tour, please sign in at the Visitor Center and pick up a copy of the walking tour booklet. The walking tour booklet has a description of each building on the tour, and the buildings are also in number sequence in the booklet.

Driving Tour

As you arrive at the Museum grounds, you will need to stop at the Visitor Center. You will then sign up for the driving tour and you will receive a booklet of the tour to use.

The tour is marked with green driving signs that you can follow to the driving display area to view the living history of agriculture in Central Washington. This area is setup so you can read the signs on both sides while traveling down the aisles, enabling people on larger buses to view similar equipment at the same time.

After you complete the driving tour and return to the Visitor Center, you may want to stop and view several displays along the way. There is a working sawmill, the Lindemann Building, the Farmstead, a blacksmith shop, a living quarters building and much more.

The driving tour display was put together by volunteers with over 5,000 hours of volunteer work on this one project. We also appreciate your feedback on this tour.

Hiking Trip

There are many trails stemming directly out of the Ag Museum grounds. Hike along Ahtanum Creek and then head up Ahtanum Ridge for a spectacular view of the valley and the museum!
